Digital anthropology + emerging media.

I’m currently pursuing my master’s degree in Emerging Media from Loyola University Maryland. I’m focusing on the cultural implications, immediate and eventual, of our new digital reality. I’m interested in expanding my studies into digital anthropology and have earned a certificate on Why We Post: The Anthropology of Social Media from University College London.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in the strategic communications program at Ohio University’s Scripps College of Communication.

My latest research on digital media and mental health:

“As rates of American deaths by suicide have crept up over recent years, new digital tools and social networks have introduced both challenges and opportunities. There is a lot we have yet to learn, but we are learning more about the ways that children’s virtual experiences are impacting their mental and physical wellbeing.”
